Volunteer Opportunity/Casting Call for UNICEF

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY/CASTING CALL!!! Looking for breastfeeding moms and babies willing to take part of a Unicef exhibit/campaign. Location will be at SM MOA and the theme is breastfeeding anytime, anywhere. Shoot dates will be anytime between Nov 10-17. Please email your photo (you and baby), not necessarily nursing to info@theperfectlatch.com along with you and your baby's details (name and age.) THANK YOU!..


I'd have given birth already by then and heck, I'd sure love to volunteer to such a cause. But I think my hubby will bop me on the head for even wanting to go to MOA after just giving birth.

But maybe I can run this by him and see how supportive he'll be.

Mommy Gifted

This is a picture of Yakee with the cake clay he made. He painstakingly broke the crayons so he could stick them on the clay to serve as candles. And of course, the first recipinet of his masterpiece is Mommy.

I guess that's one of the intangible rewards of all that I do for him.

And of course, we had to sing "Happy Birthday" and blow out the candles. Creative play is upon us in a major way and I welcome it, celebrate it, and want more, more, more!

Sigh

I felt Yakee and I needed a break from each other. He's taken to toying with my breasts when he's bored and we haven't spent a minute apart for over a week now so I went shopping and doing errands without him. I figured it would do us both good.

I had visions of maxing out hubs' credit card on a new wardrobe since everything I own is more than snug.

I went home with a new pair of shoes for my little one instead. Because it was on sale. And mostly because i've gotten used to him owning many pairs at once.

Babies grow up so fast and little boys outgrow their shoes in a jiffy. But not that fast... I know. Still, my son has a new pair of shoes. And I settled on shoes because I said he has to maximize his Crocs as sandals.

And I still don't have any new clothes. Not even new undies.

I also bought a new set of flash cards for baby! He proceeded on throwing them about as soon as he had them.

He was included in the baby gallery of "I Love the Water" (?) of Baby Magazine (April 2009 issue).

Anyway... am really always annoyed to check my messages at Babycentral.com.ph and read appeals from moms to vote for their child when I don't even know them. I mean, I get mommies asking friends to support their child in a contest or something, but that is just simply ridiculous!

They do offer to also vote for my child, if I have an entry too... but what is the point of exchange voting? Sorry, but i'd still rather the cutest child wins rather than one with the most hardworking vote beggar of a Mom.
