Liking the Names

I don't much care about OctoMom really but having found out the names of her kids was fun. I like Arabic, Hebrew, Biblical, Greek sounding names and her kids are named thus:

Behind with my Gossip

I have been real busy that I have been remiss about posting, and reacting, to celebrity baby arrivals and celebrity parents, in general.

I didn't even know that Matthew McConaughey, Padma Lakshmi and Rebecca Gayheart had girls!

Giselle Bundchen and Jenna Elfman, on the other hand, recently had sons.

Jamie Oliver and wife are also expecting again. I sure hope he didn't try the frozen diapers trick again, because it didn't work with their third child. But I sure wish for them to have a boy finally, just because they seem to be groovy and cool parents who are really in love with each other.

And Jim Carrey is already a grandfather!!!

Cruises Whoring Suri Out

Suri was spotted looking really cute in Spain. She really is such a cute child and dresses really look great on her. But heels, make up and dangly earrings on a 3-year old who's just supposedly walking about? Plus, if it wasn't really cold, how come everyone around her had proper shoes and wore long-sleeved ensembles?

Some of the commenters were right. This is very reminiscent of Jon Benet and I wouldn't be surprised if ten years from now, she is filing for emancipation already.

This also reminds me again of how some parents (moms mostly) will go all out prettifying, sexifying their little girls up... but would cry desperate tears when 15 years down the line, their daughter comes home pregnant.

Cobain's Daughter All Grown Up

Frances Bean, Kurt Cobain's daughter, is already 17 years old and fighting her Mom in court to release her from her custody.

I wasn't really a Nirvana fan but I loved Kurt's pictures in all the tabloids carrying little Frances Bean, holding her bottle or actually feeding her. That made him cool as a rockstar for me. It was only after he died that I really listened to his music.

Fast forward to now. Frances Bean is pale, reminds me of that Osbourne girl, and not (yet) cashing in on her parent's fame and notoriety. She hasn't been caught without panties, drunk, doing drugs, etc (as far as I can tell). Hopefully, somewhere, somehow, that is making Kurt smile.

But it's a tragedy that she doesn't have a great relationship with her Mom. It could be Courtney's still doing drugs. It could be that Frances just wants to hold all her money. But really, what it boils down to is that one of them is not making good choices.

For Frances' sake, I hope it's her Mom and that she live a less chaotic and absolutely drug-free life.

Lourdes' Like a Virgin Pose

Madonna's firstborn is coming into her own... and could she be following in her mother's footsteps too? The little girl has been joining her mother onstage and recently recreated mommy's Like a Virgin pose.



Am not quite sure whether I like it or not. Sure she's cute and looks a lot like Mommy Madonna... but I dunno. Madonna has started disturbing me lately with her choices.

The Last Spice Mommy

Sporty Spice, the last to become a Mom of the Spice Girls, gave birth last 22 February to a baby girl they named Scarlet Starr.

If you ask me, am not such a fan of the baby names the Spice girls chose for their kiddos... and Posh seems to be the only one blessed with boys (maybe because God knew she'd be a bad role model to a daughter?).

Brangelina Twins Pics

The entire Jolie-Pitt clan was snapped in Tokyo. Know leon and Vivienne Marcheline are sixc months now. They haven't been spotted for several months but look at them now!

I think both were cuter than Shiloh was.

Bronx Mowgli

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson named their son Bronx Mowgli.

I just hope he really grows up cool and talented and handsome and good... because otherwise, his name is horrible.

And I dunno... no matter what Pete and Ashlee says, am with those who believe they chose the name for sheer shock/commercial value.

How Cute is Zoe

Seeing her picture for the first time ever, I cannot help but cringe at the thought that she could have suffered worse had the heparin overdose she and twin brother Thomas went through not been corrected in time.

Others have died because of the same medical mix-up.

I really hope something will come of her Daddy's lawsuits so that babies won't be harmed in the same way ever again.

Knox and Vivienne: A First Glimpse

Celebrity bloggers everywhere made sure to let their readers know to be online yesterday (Sunday, 7:00 PM DST) for a first glimpse of Knox and Vivienne, Brad and Angelina's twins. It's even crazy how they make it out as the coming of the messiah or something.

But to really appreciate the twins, you'd have to buy copies of the People's issue, of course.

Anyway, it's not that am particularly envious, but it really must be something if newborns could fetch millions (between $10-15 M) for practically no work at all. I mean, at three weeks, what else can they do apart from nap anyway?

Loving Vivienne Marcheline

Yup. Angelina Jolie has given birth to her twins (5th and 6th children with hunky, yummylicious Brad Pitt) last July 12 I think.

I am not so hot with the son's name Knox Leon (it makes me think of the gelatin brand I use for my cathedral windows dessert) but I guess it does go with Maddox and Pax :) And yes, I am wondering if he will grow up as hot and smoldering as his parents.

But I truly love the girl's name Vivienne Marcheline. Marcheline came from Jolie's Mom. It's not so girly a name and it doesn't sound like a dominatrix or porn star name. And it's really a surprise that I liked it because i've never liked the names of the other kids (especially Shiloh's), except maybe Zahara (and from pictures i've seen, it seems she's the one who managed to channel Jolie's dark, seductive, mysterious and out-of-reach air).

Anyway, may Jolie and Pitt really raise these kids well.

Harlow or Honor?

I have been meaning to blog about this for the longest time...

I absolutely love Nicole Richie for coming up with Harlow Winter Kate's name. And then here comes Jessica Alba naming her daughter Honor Marie! I mean, how star quality can a name get?

A runner-up for me would be Christina Aguillera's son named Max Liron. There are just something about these names that really fit perfectly.

And yes, I cannot wait for Brangelina's twins... especially since I didn't really like the name Shiloh.
